Ogden Pioneer Days is in the Class of 2017 — for the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. Earlier this year, the museum released the name of the 2017 inductees into the museum, and Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo is listed along such rodeo greats as Charmayne James and Buck Rutherford as selected honorees. The induction ceremony will be Aug. 5 in Colorado Springs, Colo., the site of the famed hall. Ogden Pioneer Days thanks the community for the support extended to the statehood event over the years and we're committed to bringing the celebration to life every summer. The Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo, held each year over the week of July 24, not only is one of the biggest and best statehood celebrations in Utah, but for two years in a row also has been named on the top five large outdoor rodeos in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Yes, that’s right Ogden Pioneer Days, which is run almost entirely by a group of dedicated volunteers, ranks alongside such great rodeos as the Pendleton Roundup and Cheyenne Frontier Days. Ogden Pioneer Days, repeatedly voted one of the top five large outdoor rodeos in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the best rodeo in the Wilderness Circuit, draws more than 30,000 annually to its PRCA rodeo and corresponding events. Each year, Ogden Pioneer Days is celebrated at the historic Ogden Pioneer Stadium, where the rodeo started in 1934 and where the feeling of the American west still lives. Bring the whole family and join us for five nights of rodeo entertainment under the stars. Ogden Pioneer Days will be July 19-24.
