Kick-Off of the Farmer’s Market, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Ogden Municipal Gardens and Historic 25th Street
The Farmer's Market offers fresh-from-the-garden fruits and vegetables by local growers. The Farmer's Market will take place in the Ogden Municipal Gardens, where you can also enjoy some arts and crafts as well as fresh baked bread and goodies that will be available for purchase.

Watch out! During the Ogden Pioneer Days festival a gang of rustlers, wranglers, and robbers are set to heist the loot from our stagecoach in a real-action, right-down-to-the-gunsmoke re-enactment on what was once known as East Two-Bit Street. Also, stagecoach rides will be given throughout the days events. Come see what life was like back in the days of the pioneers.
Great Basin Antique Tractor Show 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Ogden Municipal Gardens and Historic 25th Street
If you collect, re-store, just enjoy old equipment or appreciate a simpler time, you should come out to see the Great Basin Antique Tractor Show. There will be antique tractors of all varieties on display, from steam engines to kerosene engines. You’ll also see tractors for threshing, binding, corn chopping and more. Don't miss this year's Special Kids Rodeo, a touching and inspiring event held as part of Ogden Pioneer Days. The Special Kids Rodeo provides an opportunity for children with special needs to ride a horse, learn how to rope like a cowboy and participate in several other western-related events. The participating children, many of whom are in wheelchairs or need other special accommodations, are chaperoned at the event by Miss Rodeo Ogden and her attendants, Miss Rodeo Utah, and the Whoopie Girls. The event is free for the public to attend. Children 14 years and younger need to pre-register by July 9, 2015. Call 801-603-1896.
Ogden Pioneer Days is proud to host a Western Wishes charity barrel races. Such events raise money to support the “wishes” of people who love horses, rodeo, and the western industry. Western Wishes has been able to serve victims of severe spinal cord and head injuries as well as survivors of cancer, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and heart afflictions. Want to see some huge farm equipment? We’ll have it! Come and show your children the massive machinery used to farm these days. Farm animals of all kinds also will be seen at the event.
Jr. Posse Jamboree
5 p.m., Ogden Pioneer Stadium, 668 17th Street
Ogden Pioneer Stadium will be filled with young cowboys and cowgirls and horses of every size and color. This annual competition between the area junior posses brings out a supporting cast with hundreds of people, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins and neighbors, filling the stands. If you want to see some fun competition, as well as catch a glimpse of the future of rodeo, come watch the jamboree. Cost is $2.
Come to downtown Ogden to participate in the kick-off party for Ogden Pioneer Days, which is ranked as one of the best large outdoor rodeos in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. There will be plenty of great music and great food. Dance the night away at our celebration of Utah’s statehood.
